Casters Coffee

About the project
Casters Coffee is a Lancaster, California-based specialty coffee company with a social mission centered on creating employment opportunities for people experiencing homelessness. The company directs its sales revenue toward hiring, training, and providing meaningful work within its local community.
Casters approached us to develop a new logo and visual identity that could better express the character of the brand. Through a focused brand workshop, visual research, and iterative moodboard development, I led the creation of a new logo, typography and color system, and overall visual language. I also directed an illustration style developed by Youjin Chung and extended the identity into packaging applications including coffee bags, labels, and tape, creating a cohesive system that could be carried forward by the company’s in-house design team.
